Many emcees strive to reach the credibility that an artist like Nipsey Hussle possessed. Nipsey’s success is made all the more inspiring by his dedication to remain true to the communities from which he came. Highsnobiety explored Nipsey’s story: his entrepreneurial spirit, his rise to self-made stardom, and the fashion choices that have kept him grounded throughout.

Just a year after this work was produced, Nipsey lost his life in LA. Nipsey’s contributions to his hometwon and commmunity should be remembered: he was known to buy shoes for elementary school students in Hyde Park, repave basketball courts, rennovate playgrounds, provide jobs for the homeless, and fund funerals for local families and victims of gun violence.
